Mr. Sunder Iyer Hon Sec of MSLTA said that a $10000 women’s event was added to the $50000 KPIT ATP Challenger by MSLTA to help Indian women tennis players who have not played in India since February. He added, “We expect at least 8-10 players from Maharashtra to make it to ATP draws in the main and qualifying draw   and provide them an opportunity to compete at world class level and that too on the home turf”.
